Last October 15 and October 16, a seminar-workshop on initial drafting and packaging of research proposals has been conducted and participated by the faculty of ASIST Main Campus and Bangued Campus at the FADC Hall. This was organized by the Research and Development Unit headed by Dr. Pablo B. Bose Jr. the Director for Research and Development. It aimed to train the faculty to make winning research proposals to be funded by outside funding agencies like DOST, CHED, NCCA, CorCAARRD among others. The resource speakers and facilitators who reached out to ASIST faculty researchers are Dr. Carlito P. Laurean, VP for Research and Extension, Benguet State University and Dr. Teresita K. Mangili, Technology Transfer Cluster Coordinator, CorCAARRD.
Topics shared by the speakers were on Impact: Pathway: A Paradigm Shift followed by workshop on Profiling of Faculty by College, Sustainability Plans and selecting researchable areas and formulating study titles. Dr. Mangili reminded the faculty on the parts of the research proposal to enkindle in them the joy and benefits of researching. At the end was the presentation of the Colleges research proposals which were evaluated by the resource speakers for their enhancement. It was a short seminar-training but the faculty learned how is it to make winning proposals and which can contribute to the levelling up of ASIST.
