Most Rev. Leopoldo C. Jaucian-SVD DD and the Abra Clergy performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting to consecrate the Cong. Ching Bernos Building and Cong. JB Bernos Building accompanied by Hon. Bernos, Founder of the University of Abra, National President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines; Councilor Atty. Russell Bragas; Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr.-University President; Dr. Noel B. Begnalen -Vice President for Academic Affairs; Administrative Officials, Directors, Deans, Chairpersons, Faculty, Non-Teaching Personnel, Students and Distinguished Guests.

ASIST/UA, in collaboration with DOST-CAR, DOST-PTRI, and the Asia Livelihood Network - Japan, recently organized a remarkable event titled 'Abel Ti Abra: Tradition Meets Innovation'. This program, held in Gov. Adres Bernos Memorial Gymnasium, ASIST/UA Bangued, brought together a fusion of tradition and innovation, spotlighting the rich heritage of handwoven textiles alongside the allure of fabric from Japan.

The College of Teacher Education conducted a seminar-workshop with the theme, "Navigating the Landscape of 21st Century Teaching ad Learning: Pre-Service Teachers' Seminar Workshop", among 260 teacher interns held at the New IT Building. Its main purpose is to remind them of the necessary values, knowledge and skills as they embark on the last phase of their journey as pre-service teachers, their internship.

In a momentous occasion held on 26th day of February 2024 marked by collaboration and shared commitment to environmental sustainability, the Turn-over Ceremony of materials for the upcoming Natural Dyes Hub Center took place at the ASIST Main Campus Grounds. The ceremony, spearheaded by the DOST-PTRI Natural Dyes Extraction and Tiles Application Team, was a manifestation of a joint initiative to establish a hub that promotes the utilization of natural dyes in various applications.

On the vibrant grounds of ASIST's Main Campus in Lagangilang, Abra, a transformative event unfolded on February 26, 2024. The Bamboo Textile Fiber Extraction Re-training, an initiative by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), supported by ASIST President Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., and guided by the expertise of Research and Development Director Dr. Pablo B. Bose Jr. and Deputy Director Dr. Nero M. Paderes, marked a significant leap towards sustainable innovation.
