The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. conducted a Level I accreditation to assess the programs offered by the institution from September 25-29, 2023. This accreditation was a step in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our academic programs.

Months prior to the accreditation, a rigorous preparation process was undertaken by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Deans, Chairpersons, and Faculty members. They dedicated countless hours in preparing the necessary documents, evidence, and reports required for the accreditation process. Their collaborative efforts and attention to detail laid the foundation for a successful assessment.

Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, the Vice President for Academic Affairs provided strategic leadership and direction throughout the preparation phase, ensuring that all departments were aligned with accreditation standards. The Deans, Chairpersons, and Faculty members worked closely together to review pertinent documents, assess student learning outcomes, and compile evidence of institutional effectiveness.

Dr. Christopher John R. Llanda, the Director for Quality Assurance played a crucial role in facilitating the accreditation activity. With planning and coordination, the Director ensured that all logistical arrangements were in place for the smooth conduct of the activity. From scheduling meetings to coordinating with evaluators, every aspect of the accreditation was carefully managed by the Director.

During the Level I accreditation, AACCUP evaluators conducted a comprehensive review of the programs assessed. They precisely examined the documents provided from Area 1-10 (Vision Mission Goals and Objectives; Faculty, Curriculum and Instruction; Support to Students; Research; Extension and Community Involvement; Library; Physical Plant and Facilities; Laboratories; Administration), interviewed faculty to assess the quality of education imparted by the institution.

After thorough evaluation, it is with great pleasure to announce that the institution has successfully passed the Level I accreditation status for the programs (Lagangilang Campus: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics; Bangued Campus: Bachelor of Arts in English Language, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Industrial Arts and Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education major in Food and Service Management, Fashion and Garments Design, Electronics Technology) conducted by AACCUP. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our academic leaders, faculty members, and staff.

The successful outcome of the Level I accreditation reflects commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement. As we celebrate this achievement, we reaffirm our dedication to providing quality education and fostering the holistic development of our students. We look forward to building on this success as we continue our journey towards excellence in higher education. Source: The ASIST Information Office
