The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) took a significant step towards enhancing its students' career readiness on August 1, 2024, by participating in the ReSkills Orientation via Zoom. This event, organized by Mr. CD Lee, Head of Program of Global Reskilling Movement (GRM), marks a pivotal moment in the institute's commitment to equipping its students with cutting-edge skills for the modern workforce.

The orientation focused on introducing students to the ReSkills online learning app, detailing its purpose, offerings, and optimal utilization strategies. This initiative stems from a partnership agreement signed between ASIST and GRM on December 6, 2023, during the Cordillera Nexus event, facilitated by CHED-CAR and Dr. Jimmy Catanes.

As a result of this collaboration, ASIST has secured 100 one-year ReSkills subscriptions for its students, providing them with an invaluable opportunity to enhance their skills and boost their career prospects. The ReSkills platform offers a diverse range of courses and resources designed to keep learners competitive in their job search and career progression.

Throughout the orientation, GRM representative provided guidance on effectively utilizing the ReSkills platform, ensuring that ASIST students can maximize the benefits of this resource. This partnership represents a significant investment in the future of ASIST students, offering them access to global learning resources and positioning them for success in an increasingly competitive job market.

As ASIST continues to forge partnerships that benefit its student body, this collaboration with GRM and the ReSkills platform stands out as a prime example of the institute's commitment to innovation in education and student empowerment.
