The ASIST FACEMASK PRODUCTION Project produced 23, 760 pieces washable facemasks. It was conducted to provide basic Personal Protective Equipment to front liners against the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). The project was funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED-CAR).
The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology successfully completed the annual surveillance audit for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 conducted by the SOCOTEC Certification of the Philippines, Inc. last December 13, 2019. The scope of the certification covered the Student Support Services in the following areas: Registrar, Guidance and Library. The said audit resulted to zero non-conformities. Upholding the vision of Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology to be a University, at least 3 undergraduate academic Programs in the Lagangilang Campus and 6 graduate programs in the Bangued Campus underwent the Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Accreditation Survey Visit last November 6-8, 2019.
December 19, 2019 marks another significant day for Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology as the institution celebrates its 111th Foundation Day at the Gymnasium, Main Campus with a theme “Enhancing Institutional Sustainability through Improved Governance and System Processes”. The theme encapsulates the institution’s 11 decades of responsive system in sustaining good and improved governance. It’s a day to celebrate the continuing journey of the institution.
