ASIST had already been granted Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722 or the “Higher Education Act of 1994.”

A five-member delegation from the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) had a trip to Taiwan on February 17 – 22, 2019 for bench-marking purposes. The group visited the National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), the Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), and the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology(NKUST).

Celebrating 110th years of educational excellence with its unique self-paced, ASIST has added another year of quality and holistic education with the theme ‘’Intensifying Program Quality through Enhanced Processes and Procedures towards ASIST University hood.’’ 

In pursuit of its vision as a premiere college in the Cordillera Administrative Region and its effort to become a state university in Abra, ASIST collected another feather in the cap as five researches were presented recently in three international conferences. Among them, one won the Best Research Paper Award, another was a contender as finalist in the Social Science category, and the three shall be published in a Scopus-indexed journal.

 

The ASIST Strategic Planning Training Workshop was attended by the ASIST academic and administrative officials on November 8-9, 2018 at the Lafaayette, Luxury Suites Resort, Bauang, La Union with a theme “Teamwork makes the dream work”.
