On the vibrant grounds of ASIST's Main Campus in Lagangilang, Abra, a transformative event unfolded on February 26, 2024. The Bamboo Textile Fiber Extraction Re-training, an initiative by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), supported by ASIST President Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., and guided by the expertise of Research and Development Director Dr. Pablo B. Bose Jr. and Deputy Director Dr. Nero M. Paderes, marked a significant leap towards sustainable innovation.

The Gender and Development (GAD) Office through the leadership of ASIST GAD Focal Person, Dr. Rhea A. Quileza, conducted a training-workshop titled “Integrating Gender Perspectives in Policy Formulation towards an Empowered Barangay” on February 4,2024 at Mudiit, Dolores, Abra.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) in Partnership of the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) marked the commencement of a groundbreaking training program focusing on Natural Dye and Extraction Applications. The event, which took place on February 20-23, 2024, was held at the Bamboo Textile Fiber Innovation Hub on ASIST's Main Campus in Lagangilang, Abra.

Baguio City was abuzz with excitement on February 02, 2024, as ASIST actively participated in the Global Heights Education Fair-Networking Dinner. This significant event, organized by Global Heights Consulting Agency in collaboration with CHED-CAR, brought together representatives from CAR-HEIs, CAIRO Officers and members, and esteemed guests from Australian higher education institutions.

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. conducted a Level I accreditation to assess the programs offered by the institution from September 25-29, 2023. This accreditation was a step in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our academic programs.
