The institution consistently strives for quality and excellence while pursuing quality standards. In recent years, ASIST has obtained ISO certificates for three offices: Library, Guidance, and Registrar. Last May 19-20, 2025, the Quality Assurance Office held an ISO Surveillance Visit by SOCOTEC Philippines Inc. at the ATDC Hall, Main Campus, Lagangilang, Abra. The audit was participated by the top management lead by the President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., Quality Assurance Office personnel, MIS, Unit Team Leaders, IQA Team Leader, head and personnel of the support services, and head and personnel of the registrar, guidance, and library. The ISO visit is essential for the organization, providing an opportunity to evaluate and strengthen its commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

The activity started with an opening prayer followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Dr. Noel B. Begnalen gave the opening remarks, stating that the activity is essential in ensuring that the institution remains resilient and responsive to the demands of a globalized educational landscape and provides the best possible services.

In his message, the President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza, Jr. emphasized that the institution ensures its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with ISO requirements.

The External Auditor, Dr. Catherine Sigua, started the two-day audit with the Top Management, followed by the offices under surveillance. Through a thorough assessment of the processes, this visit verified compliance with the specific ISO standards the institutions adhere to.

Although a few minor areas for improvement and compliance were noted, the auditors acknowledged the tangible results of ASIST’s pioneering initiatives as strong evidence of its quality management system. Consequently, the institution successfully passed the ISO surveillance audit.

Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, expressed the institution’s intention to expand the scope of ISO services by including academic units across all campuses in the ISO standards commitment. He affirmed the community's dedication to continuously evolving its Quality Management System (QMS), guided by valuable insights from external partners such as the ISO auditors.
