Now on its second year of implementation, following the initial one-year funding support from DOST-CAR, we take pride in sustaining the Fogging System Technology for oyster mushroom production through the ASIST–Agriculture and Food Technology Innovation Incubation and Commercialization Center (AFTIICC). The technology has consistently supported year-round mushroom production, with harvests marketed either as fresh produce or as value-added processed products.

This sustained success reflects the unwavering commitment of ASIST-AFTIICC to its Board-approved mandate of fostering innovation, supporting agripreneurship, and strengthening community development. Beyond production, the initiative continues to extend its reach to local communities by sharing practical innovations, paving the way for technology transfer, enterprise incubation, and commercialization opportunities that contribute to food security and inclusive growth.

The project’s achievements would not have been possible without the steadfast support and visionary leadership of the ASIST President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, the R&D Director, Dr. Pablo B. Bose Jr., and the dedicated guidance of its Project Leader and AFTIICC Director, Dr. Nero M. Paderes together with his supportive staff Dr. Bersheeba L. Taclawan, In-Charge of mushroom by product development and exhibits and Ms. Kae Ann P. Balingit who is In-Charge of it's Agri-Business and Marketing aspect. Their collective commitment and encouragement have been instrumental in sustaining the Fogging System Technology and in advancing the mission of ASIST-AFTIICC towards innovation, technology transfer, and meaningful community impact.
