Faculty and staff of ASIST AFTIICC successfully completed a three-part capacity-building program hosted by the regional Consortium CorCAARRD which focused on advancing strategic research management and sound financial stewardship. The training provided hands-on guidance on budgeting, fiscal controls, regulatory compliance, and research governance,a critical competencies for managing externally funded R&D initiatives.

Through this learning series, the ASIST AFTIICC team is now more capable of integrating financial planning with research implementation, promoting transparency and accountability, and ensuring the efficient delivery of timely, outcome-driven research and development projects.

The delegation was led by AFTIICC Director Dr. Nero M. Paderes, with key support from project finance staff Ms. Kae Ann P. Balingit and Mr. Cedric Llanda, together with project staff Ms. Mary Rose Casigay, Ms. Avegiyl Anquilliano, Ms. Tiffany Manangbao, and Ms. Nathalia Grace Bigornia.

This initiative reinforces ASIST AFTIICC’s commitment to strengthening institutional systems that support high-impact, compliant, and sustainable research under DOST supported programs.
