
The University of Abra Bangued Campus cordially welcomed Dr. Paulito Nisperos, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies in DMMMSU MLUC, and his team for a visit on December 9, 2022 with a grand entrance at the administration building.
The visit seeks to expose Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education to crucial areas of school transformation in instructional administration and school management, as ASIST transversed from State Institute to University.
Meanwhile, the program commenced with a Doxology presented by the UA Chorale, followed immediately by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and UA Hymn. Dr. Leigh T. Pasos officially kicked off the program with his welcome remarks. ML assures the visitors that today is the most peaceful day in the province of Abra. Subsequently, Dr. Paulito Nisperos, Dean of DMMMSU MLUC CGS, delivered a message and expressed his appreciation and utmost gratitude to UA for the warm welcome. Following that, Mr. Neil Pacis, LHS Faculty, performed a classic yet powerful song number.
Dr. Gregorio Turqueza Jr., SUC President of the University of Abra then delivered his message. "We anticipate receiving the official recognition from the Commission on Higher Education by the first quarter of the following year, at which point we will be able to use the name University of Abra. Agbiag ti DMMMSU, agbiag ti UA!" he expressed. After that, the administrators, faculty and students of the University of Abra proudly sang their VMGO.
The program concluded with a closing remarks delivered by Dr. Joey M. Dela Cruz, Dean of UA Graduate School. The visit also staged the Extension Services of the Student Body Organization, with SBO President Henry De Vera, and Dr. Grace L. Diamse, SBO Adviser. Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education with the Program Chair, Dr. Remalyn Casem and Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Administration with Dr. Jocelyn Gimpaya Program Chair, and Dr. Maris Acantilado and Dr. Aluysius Aurelio Core Faculty of the Graduate Stidies thru a Wheel Chair Distribution to three (3) beneficiaries of Bangued, Tayum and Lagangilang.
