In an effort to possibly resume internship of students, particularly of BS Agriculture, from the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) in Israel, New Era University Dean of School of International Relations and Consultant to International Affairs of ASIST, Dr. Carlos C. Tabunda Jr., and ASIST International Affairs Office Director, Ms. Patricia A. Benedito, with Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, and Bangued Campus Executive Dean, Prof. Leo T. Pasos, met with Israel Ambassador to the Philippines, Ambassador Ilan Fluss last March 24, 2022 at The Manor, Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

 
 

August 2022 ─ The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) conducted a financial literacy-education to the unbanked six municipalities of Abra of the 1,553 farmers from Danglas, Lagayan, Langiden, Malibcong, Peñarubia, and Pilar with the project “Farmers Financial Literacy-Education Towards Sustainable Economic Growth in Abra”.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) headed by its President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, with Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development Director, Dr. Maria Rebecca B. Talledo, and GAD Focal Person and Academic Coordinator - La Paz, Campus, Ms. Hazel T. Bersamira, conducted its curriculum review focused on the alignment of courses, international standards, and gender mainstreaming on July 25-26, 2022 at the Playa Tropical Resort Hotel, Currimao, Ilocos Norte.

PLDT Enterprise and its ICT arm ePLDT will enable the smart campus project of Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) that aims to boost student engagement with technology through digitalization and to encourage development of insight-driven solutions to problems such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
