LAGANGILANG, ABRA – The  Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) is officially charting a course for both national quality distinction and global recognition, following a high-impact Introduction, Orientation, and Write-shop on the Philippine Quality Awards (PQA), Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rating, and World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Rankings, held on October 21, 2025 at the ASIST Training and Development Center (ATDC), Main Campus.

Two promising first year students from the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics (BSED-Math) program proudly represented the college during the 29th Philippine Statistics Quiz – Provincial Elimination, held on October 24, 2025, at the Divine Word College of Bangued. Other participating schools were Divine Word College of Bangued, UA Main Campus & Data Center College of the Philippines with two representatives each.

Lagangilang, Abra – A week-long, cross-border expedition led by Taiwanese scholar Dr. Eing Ming Wu and his mentees concluded its strategic tour of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with a crucial visit to the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST). The "Bridging Mountains and Islands: Austronesian Linkages and Human Capital Exploration in the Cordilleras" initiative, which ran from October 13–20, 2025, traversed all six provinces of CAR, blending academic exploration, cultural immersion, and strategic partnership-building between Northern Luzon and Southern Taiwan.

BAGUIO CITY – The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) achieved a momentous stride on October 14, 2025, during its 179th Regular Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting at the Le Monet Hotel. The meeting, the last to be presided by the esteemed Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Marita R. Canapi, resulted in the unanimous approval of key resolutions that will pave the way toward full university status of the ASIST and its commitment to the CHED ACHIEVE framework.

BAGUIO CITY – The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) significantly advanced its alignment with the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) ACHIEVE Framework by actively participating in the Filipino Leaders in Advancing International Reputation – Upscaling Programs and Projects, Leveraging Internationalization and Futures Thinking (FLAIR-UPLIFT) 2025 Masterclass. Held from September 30 to October 1, 2025, the Masterclass was a continuing initiative of CHED-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to bolster the capacity of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Cordillera. Led by President Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., the ASIST delegation engaged in intensive sessions focused on strengthening four key pillars of the national agenda: Harmonized SDG-based Higher Education Research and Innovation Agenda; Expanded and Impact-Driven Internationalization Strategies; Integrated Real-Time Data Collection and Analytics System; and Vitalized Policies, Internal Systems, and Governance.
