QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) convened its 177th Regular Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting on March 5, 2025, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City. The meeting, Chaired by CHED Commissioner Marita R. Canapi, served as a crucial platform for strategic discussions aimed at the continued development and efficient operation of ASIST.

The Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) marked a significant milestone in its academic history with the first Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony for the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program. Held on February 14, 2025, at the ASIST Social Hall, Bangued Campus, the event celebrated the accomplishments of the graduating class and formally recognized their entry into the professional field.

Bangued, Abra – The Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) recently held a two-day Faculty In-Service Training (INSET) on January 13-14, 2025, at the Social Hall, ASIST Bangued Campus. The event, themed "Transforming Academic Instructions to Ladderized Outcomes by Effective Reinforcements," aimed to enhance the instructional skills of educators and promote internationalization within the institution.

The MOA signing between Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) with the National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute (NARTDI) at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), Bacnotan, La Union last February 13, 2025 is a fundamental step in recognizing apiculture as a crucial element of agriculture, particularly in the pollination of cross pollinated crops such as fruit trees, vegetables, cereals, vine crops, grasses and shrubs, ensuring their maximum yield potentials and perpetuation of wild plant species; and offering nutritious and medicinal products while aligning with the farming practices prevalent among Filipino farmers.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology successfully hosts the 2025 Inabel ti Abra Exhibit and Fashion Show in partnership with DTI, DOST, PIA, and Asian Livelihood Network. The Two-day affair aimed to display the province’s indigenous woven fabrics and establish collaboration with Japan’s Banshu-ori, a traditional method of textile production. This collaboration was headed by ASIST’s President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza and ALN’s Director, Dr. Mami Kagawa.
