Geared towards providing alternative skills to improve life conditions through livelihood training, the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology College of Engineering and Vocational and Industrial Technology (CEVIT) headed by CEVIT Dean, Engr. Orlando A. Lomboy and VIT Chairperson, Prof. Judith A. Casabar together with the VIT faculty, conducted its one-day electrical wiring installation basic course training in Barangay Quillat, Langiden, Abra on July 3, 2022.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology held its 169th (1st Quarter) Regular Board of Trustees Meeting on June 28, 2022 at the Conference Room of Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet. A hybrid setup was implemented for the meeting where five members of the current BOT Members attended in person while two others joined virtually. Despite of the technical setup, the meeting was a success demonstrated through the approval of all the presented agenda to the Board.

Realizing its commitment to continuously expand its reach globally, the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) participates in the first-ever masterclass exclusive for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Cordillera Administrative Region titled, "?????: ???????? ??????? ?? ????????? ????????????? ??????????" presented by the Commission on Higher Education International Affairs Staff (CHED-IAS) and the Commission on Higher Education CAR (CHED-CAR) through the Academy for Higher Education Faculty Members' Advancement and Development.
Civil Service Commission Cordillera Administrative Region (CSC-CAR) held its leadership course Strategic Leadership for Human Resource Excellence at the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology Bangued Campus Social Hall today. The whole-day event aims to further capacitate Human Resource professionals and leaders within CAR to provide service of excellent quality in their respective institutions and agencies, including ASIST. Attendees came from the different provinces and city of CAR: Abra, Benguet, Kalinga, Mt. Province and Baguio City.

Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza, Jr. got re-appointed as the President of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), by virtue of Board of Trustees (BOT) Resolution No. 09, series of 2022, effective June 10, 2022 and expiring on June 09, 2026. The BOT members unanimously favored for the re-appointment of Dr. Turqueza during its hybrid Special BOT Meeting last June 10, 2022.
