The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. conducted a Level I accreditation to assess the programs offered by the institution from September 25-29, 2023. This accreditation was a step in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our academic programs.

In a dynamic virtual gathering hosted by Cagayan State University (CSU) on December 22, 2023, ASIST took center stage at the 3rd International Conference on Future Thinking Towards SDGs. The event unfolded on Zoom under the theme "Unboxing Society 6.0: Future Thinking Skills, Technologies, & SDGs," attracting global experts, scholars, and institutions passionate about shaping a sustainable future. 

The Stage 1 Audit conducted at Lagangilang Campus on December 12, 2023, marked a pivotal step in the preparation for certification by SOCOTEC. This audit, a fundamental phase in the accreditation process, focused on evaluating the campus's initial implementation and readiness for certification. 

December 15, 2023 - The University of Abra recently held the prestigious Balligi 2023 Awards, recognizing outstanding individuals and achievements in the pursuit of institutional internationalization and global competitiveness. The event was themed "UA/ASIST Globalization: Raising Targets to Institutional Internationalization and Global Competitiveness."

On December 7, 2023, a significant milestone was marked at the University of the Philippines-Baguio (UP Baguio) as the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) officially received the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between ASIST and UP Baguio solidifying a strategic partnership between the premier state university of the country and the lone state university college of Abra. This collaboration is deeply rooted in the shared commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
