The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology delegation, led by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Noel B. Begnalen, and CAS Social Sciences faculty members, Mr. Petronilo D. Elveña and Mr. Patrick A. Benedito, attended the Higher Education Regional Summit spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education-Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) in partnership with Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) on July 13, 2022.

To further strengthen the relationship between the administration and the faculty and to help the faculty become more efficient partners in serving the institution, the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology Faculty Association (AFA) held a special meeting with ASIST President, Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr., today, July 5, 2022 at the Conference Room of the Office of the President, ASIST Bangued Campus.

Geared towards providing alternative skills to improve life conditions through livelihood training, the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology College of Engineering and Vocational and Industrial Technology (CEVIT) headed by CEVIT Dean, Engr. Orlando A. Lomboy and VIT Chairperson, Prof. Judith A. Casabar together with the VIT faculty, conducted its one-day electrical wiring installation basic course training in Barangay Quillat, Langiden, Abra on July 3, 2022.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology held its 169th (1st Quarter) Regular Board of Trustees Meeting on June 28, 2022 at the Conference Room of Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet. A hybrid setup was implemented for the meeting where five members of the current BOT Members attended in person while two others joined virtually. Despite of the technical setup, the meeting was a success demonstrated through the approval of all the presented agenda to the Board.

Realizing its commitment to continuously expand its reach globally, the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) participates in the first-ever masterclass exclusive for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Cordillera Administrative Region titled, "Flair: Filipino Leaders in Advancing International Reputation" presented by the Commission on Higher Education International Affairs Staff (CHED-IAS) and the Commission on Higher Education CAR (CHED-CAR) through the Academy for Higher Education Faculty Members' Advancement and Development.
