The 2023 Agency In-House Review research efforts were classified into four categories: Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources, Education, Social Science, and Industry Energy and Emerging Technologies.

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) has emerged as a driving force behind the seamless reintegration of rebel returnees and inmates into the community, marking a significant step towards fostering social harmony and rehabilitation.

ASIST’s goal is to soar and be at par with the various HEIs and Colleges in the province. As the lone State College in the province, it never stopped taking its path on the local, regional, and national grounds. Now, its name gradually roars globally.

In a remarkable moment of pride for Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), the institution has been honored with the prestigious accolade of a Top 201-300 University Ranking at the World's Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Awards. This recognition was bestowed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in a spectacular event held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on October 6, 2023. The award was received by ASIST's esteemed Quality Assurance Director, Dr. Christopher John R. Llanda, who stood as a symbol of excellence in higher education.

The pursuit of excellence in higher education is an endeavor that requires unwavering dedication and constant self-assessment. From September 25 to September 29, 2023, Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) took a significant step in this journey, as it subjected nine of its academic programs to rigorous evaluation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). The results of this accreditation visit serve as a testament to ASIST's commitment to providing high-quality education to its students.
